Relax, be yourself, and let's capture some moments
This isn't just a photo session; it's about you. Forget posing and stiffness. Think of it as a walk with an old friend who happens to have a camera. My process is free-flowing, and my goal is to capture your authentic self
The real You framed into a timeless portrait
My approach
01.
Fill out the form
Once you’ve made up your mind, complete the form, and I will be getting back to you as soon as possible.
02.
Connect
So everyone feels comfortable and accustomed to each other, we’ll have a quick call to discuss things and plan everything out.
03.
Picture time
The big day! We’ll meet, talk, connect, and get to know each other. In the meantime, I will be preparing the equipment so we can jump right into it.
04.
Delivering photos
In one or two weeks, you will receive your edited pictures, to see yourself in all your natural glory.
This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
Your first photoshoot should be an enjoyable experience! Here are some tips: Dress comfortably, be yourself, and feel free to share your preferences with the photographer. It's all about capturing your genuine self.
What should I wear?
Wear something that reflects your style and makes you feel comfortable. Consider coordinating with others in your photos, but avoid busy patterns, large logos, or distracting text.
How do I choose the right color scheme for our family's outfits?
Consider your family's favorite colors and the color scheme in your home. Choose a couple of colors that harmonize well and stick to them.
What's the importance of coordinating outfits for family portraits?
Coordinating outfits helps create harmony in your photos, making a good picture even better.
How can we ensure our clothing doesn't blend in with the background?
Consider the location of your photo session and choose clothing colors that won't blend with the background. For example, if you're in a forest, limit greens in your outfits during the summer.
Can we use prints or patterns in our clothing for family photos?
It's best to limit large prints and patterns, as they can be distracting in photos. Small simple monochromatic prints are okay. Plaids are okay too!
Should we avoid clothing with lettering, numbers, or sentences?
Yes, avoiding clothing with text is a good idea, as it can divert attention away from your smiling faces.
How many pictures will I receive?
Typically, you'll receive a set number of professionally edited images (10 or more), which can vary based on the session type or if you pay extra for more pictures. I'll ensure you receive high-quality photos that capture your best moments. Please see my pricing page if you want to buy all the images taken.
Are you available outside of Highlands Ranch?
Yes, I'm available for photoshoots in various locations around 20 minutes outside of Highlands Ranch. If you have a location outside that area, we can discuss the details and any travel fees during the booking process.
